Important Drop - off and Pick - up Information

Please take a moment to review these procedures with any family members who may be responsible for pick-ups or drop-offs. (Links to specific building procedures are included below.) It's important to allow yourself extra time during drop-off and pick-up to ensure the safety of all community members.

Shook Drop-Off:

  • Use Zone A for both drop-off and pick-up, as shown on the map.
  • Follow the one-way traffic flow indicated by the arrows.
  • After dropping off, students should enter through Exit #2 (5th-grade hallway).
  • Always use this designated drop-off location for safety.

Shook Pick-Up:

Please do not plan to arrive before 2:45 for carline pick-up as this area is used for
recess for our students. We dismiss our carline pick-up students at 3:25.

  • Enter the Parking Lot B and follow the traffic pattern shown on the map to reduce congestion.
  • Shook staff will check student name cards, and students will be lined up in the gym by car order.
  • Wait for staff to direct you into the pick-up lane (Zone A) once it's your turn.
  • Your child will be brought out and directed to your car.

During online registration, parents/guardians will designate individuals who are authorized to pick up their student from school.

To ensure student safety, the following will be required when picking up a child in the car line:

  • The student’s Kid Account card, and

  • A photo ID matching an approved contact listed in the student’s records

Individuals who are not listed as approved contacts will not be permitted to pick up students.

Thank you for helping us keep our students safe!

Important Notes:

  • High school traffic in the back driveway may cause congestion. Report any unsafe driving to the Shook office with a license plate number and description.
  • Student safety is our top priority—please follow all directions and traffic rules.
